Fazenda Lagoa (Brazil)

In the heart of the Sul de Minas region of Brazil, with its rolling mountains, lakes and rich farmland lays the highly regarded coffee growing estate of Fazenda Lagoa.

The estate is owned by Marcelo Vieira and has been in his family for over 100 years. By making sure our coffee is directly imported from Marcelo we secure him a price that is significantly above the current Fairtrade price.

This coffee is roasted slightly darker to enhance the sweet toasted hazelnut flavours.

Musasa Cooperative (Rwanda)

The Musasa Cooperative is made up of around 800 members in the Rushashi district of Rwanda.

Coffee growing Cooperatives allow small scale growers to combine their harvests into larger consignments, achieving a better price by selling directly.

Musasa is an example of a cooperative that has also seen the benefit of using methods to increase the quality of their coffee and achieve higher prices still.

Hand picked coffee is delivered by the members to the washing station, owned by the Cooperative, where the coffee is separated, removing any imperfections before being washed and dried using traditional methods.

The result is a coffee that is sweet, aromatic and comforting.
